People with disabilities need comprehensive dental care, studies indicate high prevalence of dental caries, periodontal disease, loss of teeth, among other problems. On the other hand, they warn about the lack of knowledge and / or training of professional dental care for this group of patients, as well as a negative attitude towards them. It is the dentist with his presence and attitude that modifies the actions of the patient, in this way the dentist can facilitate or hinder the dental care of people with disabilities.
