Patients with special needs
Patients with special needs are those who due to physical, medical, developmental or cognitive conditions require special consideration when receiving dental treatment (ADA). The purpose of this work is to draw attention a patient with special needs groups, the possible complications triggered by dental treatment and present suggestions of dental treatment for them. It includes patients with chronic systemic diseases, neurological diseases and motor changes, in addition to the elderly and pregnant women. This is an important specialty because it also presupposes hospital care.
