Withheld Teeth: Diagnosis and Treatment
RETAINED TEETH: the relative frequency of impacted and upper incisors , leads us to perform an early diagnosis to avoid possible complications. Definition: Are those that once the normal time of eruption and three quarters of its root formed, is not expected to erupt in a reasonable time and are included within the bone totally or partially. Impacted canines and upper centrals Etiology: most common causes that provoke tooth retention. Prevention and treatments. Presentation of clinical cases.
Learning Objectives :
- Transmit to the general dentist and pediatric dentist, the need to make an early diagnosis to prevent, as much as possible, the retention of dental pieces, through different procedures. If this is not possible, try to locate them in their correct position, through surgical orthodontic treatments.
