Treatment of gingival recessions associated with non-carious cervical lesions
One of the main reasons that motivate the patient to search for dental care are gingival recessions. Gingival recession is the apical migration of the gingival margin beyond the cemento-enamel junction and causes hypersensitivity and aesthetic concerns for the patient . In many situations, recessions are combined with loss of tooth structure at the cement-enamel junction which may complicate diagnosis Non carious cervical lesions and gingival recessions may be present at the same time and require the need for a combined periodontal and restorative approach to achieve treatment success and patient satisfaction.
Learning Objective :
- Distinguish non-carious cervical lesions from gingival recession and establish the ideal treatment plan.
